After a great breakfast we say goodbye to each other. I am really impressed by this man and it's quite unbelievable, what he has experienced in his life. Well, a certain grade of madness belongs to this, but I know this already...

I am not sure about if I want to end this travel today. Let's see what happen this day. First I have decided to cycle to the Slovenian part of the town Goricia, called Nova Goriza. There is a station from where I can depart.
I cycle along the coast street to the north. From there I'll cycle on through the mountains to Goricia.

In Goricia I want to change to the Slovenian part of the town because I want to depart from the station there. Finally I have discovered the border crossing but the customs officer sends me back without to tell my why.
The next border crossing I arrive over a footpath but then I am between both countries. But the Slovenian officer orders me first to back to the Italian officers. And now they don't let my go through. The reason is, that this is no international border crossing. I should try it at the next one. And the train station is already behind the fence!
Next I discover an unguarded railway crossing which leads to the Slovenian part. Like the pedestrian I want to go over the tracks but suddenly I hear a reputation behind me. A customs officer is running out of a small house. He has overlooked me almost. The house couldn't be recognized as such at all. I am turned away certainly but friendly again. It would be possible at the next border crossing. Fuck!
At the next one it's really possible and they let me go without problems.
Since two crossings ago it wasn't possible to cross the border I have to cycle over a mountain now.
A arrive the station and a train comes in. I don't want to get hounded and at the ticket center I ask for tickets. But they only can speak Slovenian and so they show me to go to the travel agency. But first I have a look on the schedule. I see that at 15.32 the last train drives and it's... exactly 15.32!!! I hurry up and run with my bike to the train that is ready for departure. The conductor looks very confused to me. That I appear causes some trouble hurly-burly and with a much hectic sign language I can put down my bike into the service room of the train. For 12,- DEM with bike it's possible to drive through Slovenia to Jesenice. I am on my way back home...
The rest of the day gets rather exciting. Finally I arrive Munich by Orient-Express (normally bikes aren't allowed there) and my aunt makes a pizza in the night...
