Today, I get on the street again. The aim for today is the island Cres. The way to the ferry port isn't to be found so easy at all. After I have driven a gigantic detour, I drive the unbelievably steep street down to the ferry port and still at the last moment I get some space on the ferry. There I meet a motorcyclist who recently was at the Plitvicka Jezera (G: Plitwitzer lakes) and tells me about the many destroyed houses in this national park.
Although this isn't located so far awaily from here at all, everything here is quite different. I know from my stays in Bosnia that I really prefer to cycle without mined roadsides.
After the arrival at Cres I would like to cycle to the town Cres on the other site of this narrow island. Since the main street all cars are using drives a gigantic swerve, I decide in the smaller way that is drawn on the map. I come into a little village and from there the way goes steeply uphill. I ask a resident whether this would be the right way to Cres. He point at the way: "Yes but always like this". In the meantime the way has become a mixture on big stones and plaster. After I have shoved my bike for a long while, the view at the coast becomes better and better. Normally I usually always curse myself if I choose such ways because I get stuck after some time. Currently this isn't the case - also if I have to press me bike up over gravels.

After all the rocks I suddenly stand on a meadow where sheep graze. Somebody managed it to come up to here with his JUGO-car, one of the so-called "irons". Since he can't have come the same way as me, I finally get back to the main street. My decision for this small way was rally better because of the great landscape I was able to see from there.

After a longer decrease down to the bay of Cres I finally reach the camping site. Immediately the azury blue water holds me here. And because the camping site here is already open I seize the opportunity and keep here for one night.
